Stats Explained

*Explained to the best of our ability. Sorry for the clickbait.

The descriptions are taken straight from the game.

Basic Stats

HPThe total amount of damage that can be withstood
ATKThe total amount of damage that can be inflicted
DEFDetermines how much damage can be resisted
SPDDetermines the rate at which a Persona accumulates Move Points
CRTDetermines chance of landing a Critical hit
HITDetermines chance of landing a hit
AVDDetermines a Persona ‘s chance of evading an attack

Basic Stat Breakdown

HP – Personally, I prefer Dell.

ATK is the primary stat used for damage calculation, but not all attacks scale with it. Some Personas have skills that scale off another stat, which means ATK is not as useful to them.

DEF is a dump stat. Putting points in here does very little to actually reduce incoming damage. For the most part, you should not bother with increasing DEF, with the notable exception of Chaste Justice.

SPD & A.SPD determines the move order for your party.

CRT – I have no idea how this works.

HIT – Accuracy.

AVD – No real data on this either.

Advanced Stats

CRTRDetermines chance of producing a Critical hit
C.DMGThe amount of damage done by a Critical hit
A.VDRThe chance a Persona has of evading a hit
A.SPDDetermines the rate at which a Persona accumulates Move Points
E.HITDetermines chance of bestowing skill effects
E.RESDetermines chance of resisting negative skill effects
LSLife Steal
D.REDDamage Reduction

CRTR directly increases your critical rate. The exact rates are still unknown.

C.DMG increases the damage you deal on a critical hit. By default, all Critical hit deals 1.2x damage.

A.VDR – No real data, but damn it feels good when it happens

A.SPD has a noticeable effect on move order, and has a bigger impact on it than SPD alone. Math is hard, and we haven’t been able to pin down the formula.

E.HIT – Possibly the most important stat after HP & ATK, E.HIT raises the success rate on debuffs.

E.RES – The chance that you can resist a debuff.

LS – Not really as good as it sounds. It scales better with bigger numbers, but it’s still fairly small. For reference, with 10% LS, dealing 3000 damage will heal you for 300 HP.

D.RED – Like LS, this is pretty insignificant. If an enemy is hitting you for 3000 HP, you have a much bigger problem on your hands.
